The Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia wrongly assumes that the Hebrew phrase k 'according to' followed by kl 'all' ought to be translated literally in the Syriac and frequently refers to the Syriac as if it was based on a variant Hebrew text. In fact when the Syriac is investigated it appears that it does not go back to a variant Hebrew text, but that the Syriac repeatedly avoids representing the phrase literally, preferring a number of forms of paraphrase to do so.
